Day 1, Beijing Arrival
Be met at PEK airport, arrival terminal, and then transferred to the fixed hotel for you in Beijing Downtown. Refresh and have a good rest. You can wander around the streets nearby.


Day 2, Beijing (B, L, D)
Today we arrange for you the visit to the man-made wonder Badaling Great Wall and former royal Ming Tombs through its Sacred Way. A prepared chinese cuisine for lunch at the best restaurant 30mins driving away from the sites, and drop in a jade market nearby to know more chinese jade culture started from old times. On the way returning, we can stop for 30mins at Olympic Green for you to take some beautiful pictures at the background of gaint 'Bird Nest' and blue 'Water Cube' stadiums.

- Great Wall: One of the seven wonders in the world and the symbol of China. (60 miles away from downtown, about one and half hour's drive)
Visit scenic spots: Badaling Geat Wall, Badaling fortress, beacon-towers, "looking-toward beijing stone", etc.
- Ming Tomb: The only underground tomb of the thirteen tombs of the emperors in the Ming Dynasty.
Visit scenic spots: 1.ling en gate, 2.ling en palace, 3.soul tower, 4.the great red gate, 5.the stele pavilion, etc.
- Sacred Road: The road is guarded on both sides with stone statues by which the ancient emperors went to hold a memorial ceremony for the ancestors.


Day 3 Beijing -> Hohhot (B, L, D)
A prepared route will lead you to visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven. Taking an evening soft sleeper train (K89, 21:00-07:20) to Hohhot.

- Tian'anmen Square: The largest city square in the world.
- Forbidden City: The largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years.
Visit scenic spots: 1. The hall and the courtyard of supreme harmony, 2. The meridian gate, 3. the hall of supreme harmony, 4. the hall of complete harmony, 5. the hall of preserving harmony, 6. the huge of stone carving, 7. the hall of union, 8. the palace of earthly tranquility, 9. the imperial garden, etc.
- Temple of Heaven: The place where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's blessings on the whole nation.
Visit scenic spots: 1. the hall of prayer for good harvest, 2. red stairway bridge, 3. the imperial vault of heaven, 4. echo wall, 5. triple sound stone, 6. the circular mound altar, etc.


Day 4 Hohhot (B, L, D)
Upon arrival, be met by local tour guide at railway station exit, and then driving to attrative grassland - Xilamuren. After crossing the Yinshan main veins - Daqingshan, passing old revolutionary bases - Wuchuan County, we will arrived. You would be welcomed by local mongolian young people with white Hada. After Mongolian flavor lunch - handle mutton, it is free for your to visit the herdsmen's family to know their sedentary lifestyle and how the mild food made. Maybe you can taste their home cooked milk or milk food. Mongolian festival shrines - Aobao Hill is there not far from the living circle, you can make a wish towards. Stay overnight in the Mongolian yurt like hostel, twin share standard room.

- Xilamuren, means "yellow river" in Mongolian, located 100 kilometers north of Hohhot. Xilamuren Prairie, commonly known as Taihe, got its name from the Puhui Temple, a Lama Temple built in the Qing Dynasty near Xilamuren River. Xilamuren Prairie, a typical example on the plateau, is covered by green grass and fresh flowers every summer and autumn. Due to the continual investment of the local government, reception service is growing better and better.

- Ao Bao is the most common and grand sacrificial activity of the Mongolians' sacrifice. It is normally set up in hills and mountains as a cone-shaped solid tower made of stone. A long pole is inserted on the top, fur or animal skin and cloth ribbons are tied on the pole end, rocks for incense are placed around. Sacrificing of Aobao is mostly held in each June, July and August. When sacrificing, the worshipper will take Hadas, mutton, fermented milk and dairy food to Aobao. Hadas and sacrifices will be presented firstly and Lamas will chant Buddhist scriptures and the other people will worship on bended knees. Then, they will add stone or wicker to the Aobao hill, and colorful silk strips and Sutra streamers. After that, such activities as horse races, wrestling and archery will be held.


Day 5 Hohhot -> Datong (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will drive you back to Hohhot. You will first visit Zhaojun Tomb, where one of the four most beautiful ladies in ancient China was buried. The tomb is also called Green Tomb for green grass covers the surface of the 33-meter-high (about 108 feet) tomb. Then visit the Five-Pagoda Temple, which is one of the treasures of Hohhot and renowned for the unique pagoda with five small dagobas on the base. The 16-meter-high (about 51 feet) pagoda is also engraved with 1,536 images of Buddha, Mongolian Astronomical Map of the world, and Diamond Sutra written in Mongolian, Tibetan and Sanskrit. The last stop will be the famous Tibetan Buddhist Dazhao Temple. As the tour ends, you will take a soft seat train for 4.5 hours to arrive in Datong. Your local guide will meet you at Datong Railway Station and transfer you to the hotel.

- Five-Pagoda Temple (Wuta Si), which is also called Jingangzuo Sheli Baota, is located in Hohhot City. As there are five small dagobas on the pedestal of the pagoda, it is named Wuta Si. Wuta was originally a building of the temple constructed during 1727-1732. Now the temple has disappeared, but the pagoda has remained.

- Zhaojun Tomb is situated nine kilometers (approx. 6 miles) away from Hohhot, on the plain extending from the northern bank of the Dahei River. The tomb is a large man-made earthen mound, which is 33 meters (approx. 108 feet) high. It was built to commemorate a great woman named Wang Zhaojun, who was one of the four most beautiful ladies in ancient China, and who sacrificed herself for the unity of China by marrying Khan.


Day 6 Datong (B, L, D)
In the morning, visit Yungang Grottoes which is one of the four major grottoes in China. Yungang Grottoes were excavated between the 5th and the 6th century in the Northern Wei Dynasty and extends about 1 km (0.62 miles) from east to west. It includes 53 caves and over 51,000 vivid stone Buddhist statues, all of which display the glorious culture and history about 1,500 years ago. After that, you will head for the amazing Hanging Monastery hanging on the cliff of a gorge more than 50 meters (164 feet) above the ground. Although it was built over 1,500 years, the monastery is still solid and firm. It is also the only monastery in China that combines Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism together.

- Yungang Grottoes: A treasure house of rare and splendid Chinese sculptures enjoys worldwide fame. These grottoes are the main reason most people make it to Datong. The grottoes contain over 50,000 Buddihist statues and stretch for about 1 km east to west.

- Suspending Temple(Hanging Monastery): This monastery is just outside the town of Hunyuan, 65km south-east of Datong. Built precariously on sheer cliffs above Jinlong Canyon,the monastery dates back more than 1400 years. Its halls and pavilions were built along the contours of the cliff face using the natural hollows and outcrops. The buildings are connected by corridors, bridges and boardwalks and contain bronze, iron and stone statues of gods and buddhas.


Day 7 Datong  -> Beijing (B, D)
You will take a morning soft sleeper train to Beijing (K616, 08:33-14:33). Your local guide will be waiting for you at Beijing railway station and transfer you to the hotel. Then you are going to visit the Summer Palace, the existing largest imperial palace in China. To meet the royal family's enjoyment 200 years ago, the park was constructed with splendid halls, pavilions, zigzag corridor, white marble bridge, wide lake and verdant hill. After that, a lively Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theatre will be the perfect end of your China Tour.


Day 8 Beijing Departure (B)
Free at your own leisure before departure. Our guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at the appointed time and transfer you to the airport for your flight home.End of the tour.
