Day 1 Arrive Beijing

On arrival you will be met by our guide and transferred to our Beijing hotel. The rest of day is at leisure.

 

Day 2 Beijing Tour ( B+L )

Pick up from your Beijing hotel at 0730am to 0830am. Visit the largest square of the world, Tiananmen Square Followed with the largest Imperial Palace in the world-Forbidden City where 24 emperors of Ming & Qing dynasty lived and controlled China from there for several hundred years.

After typical Chinese lunch at local restaurant, head to the Temple of Heaven which was built in 1420, once was the venue for the Ming and Qing emperors to offer sacrifices to Heaven and pray for good harvest for the coming new year.

The next stop is the Summer Palace. Known as the largest and best-preserved imperial gardens of the world, the Summer Palace inscribed on the UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1998.

Transfer back to your hotel in the late afternoon.

 

Day 3 Beijing Tour ( B+L+D )

Pick up from your hotel at 0730am to 0830am. Take a 2 hrs drive to Badaling Great Wall, the symbol of ancient Chinese civilization and the landmark of China.


Badaling Great Wall -It is one of the most famous sections among the Great Wall of China in Beijing which built more than 600 years ago during the Ming Dynasty. This section is some 70km away to downtown Beijing by superhighway and it is the closest section of the Great Wall to Beijing which can be visited in a half day. Great Wall at Badadling section was completely restored after 1957.

On the way, pay a short visit to the jade factory where you can buy some souvenirs. Hiking the Great Wall (cable car is optional) for 1.5 hrs and head to the largest restaurant to enjoy a typical Chinese style lunch.

Take a 45 minutes drive to the Changling Mausoleum, the largest of the 13 Ming Tombs. The 13 Ming Tombs are the cemeteries of the 13 Ming emperors after the Ming Dynasty moved the capital to Beijing.

The imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties are four groups of tombs in four provinces of eastern China. The tombs, designed in keeping with the Chinese principles of geomancy (fengshui), provide outstanding evidence of Chinese beliefs and traditional from the 14th century onwards and are significant examples of architecture and applied arts from that period.

Badaling Great Wall tour ends and transfer back to your hotel Beijing in the late afternoon.

 

Day 4 Beijing Train Travel to Xian by train Z19 20:47pm to 07:58am ( B+L )

Pick up from your downtown Beijing hotel at 0730am to 0830am. Giant Panda tour features the Beijing Zoo located in the Xicheng District of Beijing. Pay a visit to panda house.

Then head to Shishahai Lake area and explore the old Beijing hutong by rickshaws. Hutong tour lasts 2 hrs, visitors will visit the typical Chinese quadrangles, primary school and the Bell Tower which was built several hundred years ago.

Lunch will be arranged at a typical Beijing resident's house.

In the afternoon, pay a visit to the Lama Temple, 1 hour tour for the mysterious Tibet style Buddhism temple. Enjoy photo taking from outside of the Olympic Stadiums, the "Bird's Nest" and the "Water Cube". On the way back to your hotel, a short visit to the Chinese Tea House where you can enjoy tea ceremony.

Transfer to railway station and board train Z19 to Xian.

Day5 Xian ( L )

Arrive in Xian at 07:58am. Meet our local guide and transfer to our Xian hotel first. Our sightseeing this morning features the Terracotta Warriors Army and Horses Museum. It is not only reputed as the world's Largest Military Museum but also the Eighth Wonder of the world. Followed with the tour to Shaanxi Provincial History Museum which built after the model of Tang Dynasty and featured with a total of 113,000 relics unearthed locally.

 

Day6 Xian Rail Tour to Guilin by train K318 18:52pm to 22:52pm( B+L )

Pick up from your hotel after breakfast, stroll along the Ancient Cultural Street and Bell & Drum Tower Square. Then visit the Great Mosque which was established in AD742 and is still an active place of worship. After typical Chinese lunch at local restaurant, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was built in AD 648. The pagoda is regarded as a symbol of Xian. Transfer to railway station to connect train K318 for Guilin, the karst castels at 18:52pm.

Day7 Guilin

Arrival Guilin at 22:52pm. Meet our local guide and transfer to our Guilin hotel.


 
Day8 Guilin-Yangshuo ( B+L )

Enjoy a downstream cruise on the Li River which moves gently between Guilin's lovely peaks. It is called the "hundred-mile art gallery". Stop at the town named Yangshuo, which is embraced by a dozen of limestone karst mountains, and "has the best scenery in Guilin". The West Street in Yangshuo, a 2km stretch crammed with pubs, shops and hotels. Glimpses of the rich culture can be found in many shops selling local products.

 

Day9 Guilin Rail Travel to Shangnhai by train T78 19:11pm to 15:05pm ( B+L )

Pick up from our Yangshuo hotel after breakfast and take 1.5 hr drive to Guilin. Morning tour features the Reed Flute Cave, which has some of the best scenery of Guilin with stalactites and stalagmites casting distorted shadows that contort to the shifting multi-colored lights. Then visit the Elephant Trunk Hill, Guilin's best known sight and also the symbol of Guilin. Free at leisure in the afternoon till transfer to railway station to connect the overnight train T78 for Shanghai at 19:11pm, the largest city of China.

Day10 Train Travel to Shanghai

Arrive in Shanghai at 15:05pm. Meet our local guide and transfer to our Shanghai hotel. Explore the city on your own.

 

Day11 Shanghai Tour ( B+L )

Our Shanghai tour started with a visit to the Ming era Yu Garden which is the most famous classical garden of Shanghai. Followed a visit to the more impressive Bund. Known as the symbol of Shanghai, the Bund featured with 52 high-rises of all styles stand in the west, showing the art of world architecture. Then pay a visit to the "Xintiandi" and the Former French Concession Area.

After lunch, visit the Jade Buddha Temple which was built in 1882, is a well preserved Buddhist temple. Then visit the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center.

Shanghai tour finished with a visit to the People's Square.

 

Day12 Shanghai Departure ( B )

Free at leisure till pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport for departure. End of memorable Beijing Xian Guilin Shanghai train tour.
