Day 1: Arrive in Beijing
Arrive in Beijing. Your guide and driver will meet and transfer you to hotel in downtown Beijiing.

Day 2: Beijing
A full day visit of must-see sights in Beijing city. Highlights include Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Treasure Houses and Hutongs.
- Tiananmen Square is the largest public city square in the world with a total area of 440,000 square meters. Standing on its four sides are all important political and cultural sites including the Forbidden City, Great Hall of the People, National Museum and more.
- The Forbidden City namely the Imperial Palace, is home to 24 Emperors between 1420 and 1911. There are great squares, halls, gardens, courtyards and quarters for those who lived in this 'city within a city'. It also has fascinating exhibitions, both permanent and temporary.
- The Treasure Houses is a separate house in the Forbidden City housing more than 440 treasures that belonged to Qing dynasty royalty.
- Beijing Hutong is a maze of historic alleyways with old single storey traditional courtyard houses. Unlike the high-rise buildings, Hutong exemplifies real life of ordinary people in Beijing. You will be surprised by the courtyards, local market, traditions by taking a rickshaw tour to the alleys.

Day 3: Beijing
Visit Temple of Heaven in the morning. Then drive some 2.5 hours eastwards for the Mutianyu Great Wall. Take cable car up to the top and enjoy some walk there. Enjoy a factory visit en route.

- Temple of Heaven is a complex of religious building built in 1420 for the emperors to make sacrificial ceremonies and praying for harvests. It is now also a place where local people dance, practice Taichi and various kinds of exercise.
- Mutianyu Great Wall is about 2.5 hours' drive from downtown Beijing. It is less crowded and the view is spectacular. The wall is well preserved and restored with rails at the steep points. Other facilities like cable car and toboggan are also available.

Day 4: Beijing to Xian (Overnight train Z19 Dep 19:57 - Arr 07:50)
Enjoy a visit of Summer Palace, Lama Temple and Beijing Olympic Green before taking overnight train to Xian city.

- The 1000-year old Summer Palace in Beijing is said to be the best preserved imperial garden in the world and the largest of its kind in existence of China. It consists of natural hills, lake, and over 3000 man-made pavilions, palaces, temples, bridges and corridors. It is quite enjoyable to have a relaxing stroll, a boat cruise or discover the aged architectures.
- Lama Temple or Yonghe Gong is a living temple in Beijing. It is the largest and most famous Tibetan Buddhist temple outside of Tibet since 1744. Halls, pavilions, incense burners and statues are in good maintenance combined with Tibet culture.
- The Olympic Green was constructed for the 2008 Olympic Games, and was turned into a park after the Game. The notable architectures - Water Cube and Bird Nest situate in the park.

Day 5: Xian 
On arrival in the morning, visit Xian City Wall and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. After lunch, you will head for the Terracotta Army, one of the seven wonders in the world.

- Xian City Wall is considered as a landmark of Xian and one of the top sights for visitors. When ascending to the top, you can have great view of the old inner city and the modern outer city.
- Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built in the 7th century to house the Buddhist materials that Xuanzang (Tripitaka) brought back from his epic journey to India. The Temple complex has several large halls with some great Buddhist statues and murals.
- The Terracotta Army is a large number of underground army discovered 2km in front of the Emperor Qinshihuang's Tomb in east of Xian. In the museum, visitors can view 1,868 unearthed terracotta warriors and chariots that have been restored to their former glory.

Day 6: Xian to Dunhuang (Flight)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport and board flight to Dunhuang. On arrival, visit the city museum.

Day 7: Dunhuang to Lanzhou (Flight)
Enjoy a visit of Mogao Grottoes, world heritage site in Dunhuang, and the Echoing-sand Mountain, Crescent Lake in adjacent. Take afternoon flight to Lanzhou.

- Mogao Grottoes or Mogao Caves are a set of temples carved into cliffs 25 km southeast of Dunhuang city. The caves contain the largest and the richest Buddhist art in the world reflecting the political and social situations from 4th to the 14th century in Chinese history. Reaching this important site along the Silk Road, visitors will be able to view 10 of them according to the temperate allocation.
- Crescent Lake or Yueyaquan is a crescent-shaped lake 6 km south of the Dunhuang city. It has been in existence more than two thousands years nestling in the arms of the Echoing-sand Dune. Many people come for this miracle of the desert every year and try camel riding, sand-gliding at Echoing-sand Mountain.

Day 8: Lanzhou to Lhasa (overnight train K917 Dep 17:15 - Arr 21:50)
Visit White Pagoda Hill, Waterwheel Garden, Green Corridor along Binhe Road, and Zhongshan Iron Bridge before taking train to Lhasa in the late afternoon.

- White Pagoda Hill got its name from the centuries-old white pagoda on top it. It offers great bird-view over Lanzhou and surrounding mountains when climbing up to the top.
- Waterwheel Garden stands on the south bank of Yellow River in Lanzhou city. The park has two huge waterwheels that modeled from the antique ones invented by Duan Xu in Ming Dynasty.
- Green Corridor along Binhe Road refers to the south bank of Yellow River winding through Lanzhou city. It extends some 10 km from west to east dotted with numerous attractions including Zhongshan Iron Bridge, White Pagoda Hill Park, Waterwheel Garden and many small gardens.
- Zhongshan Iron Bridge is renowned as the "first bridge on the Yellow River". It was constructed in 1907 during Qing Dynasty with the help of a Germany businessman. In 1942, the bridge was re-named Zhongshan Bridge to commemorate Dr. Sun Yat-sen.

Day 9: Lhasa
The train journey provides amazing scenery along the way as it stops several times at the observation platforms. On arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel. Take a good rest tonight to accommodate the plateau climate.

Day 10: Lhasa
Full day to discover Lhasa city. Highlights include the Potala Palace, Sera Monastery, Barkhor Street

- Potala Palace in Lhasa is one of the most grandiose palaces in the world, and joined the list of world cultural heritage sites in 1994. The outstanding structure is built on the red hill and as old as the Lhasa city with a history of more than 1300 years. It was the former residence of Dalai Lama until 1949. The palace is well preserved with 999 rooms inside and decorated countless statues, murals and antiques.
- Located 2 km in the northern suburb of Lhasa City, Sera Monastery is one the three Gelugpa monasteries in Lhasa. Built in 1419, Sera Monastery suffered severe damage several times and was restored to its former glory in the last century. The architecture itself is very impressive and houses beautiful collection of sacred art. It is also very interesting to watch the monks debating in the afternoon.
- Barkor is an one-kilometer long narrow streets encircled the Jokhang Temple. It is a popular devotional circuit for pilgrims and locals. For visitors, it is a colorful, lively and authentic street with hundreds of stores and vendors selling all kinds of Tibetan items, pilgrims praying in a clockwise direction and locals dressing traditionally.

Day 11: Lhasa
Visit Drepung Monastery and enjoy amazing landscape at Yomdrok Lake.

- Drepung Monastery is considered as one of the 'Three Great Monasteries' along with Ganden and Sera. Built in 1416, Drepung once was the largest monastery in Tibet housing more than 1,000 monks at its peak. 5 km from the western suburb of Lhasa and up on the Mount Gephel, Drepung is quite peaceful except the well-known Shoton Festival that held here annually.
- Yamdrok lake is the largest freshwater lake at the south foot of the Himalayas. It is 90 km to the city of Gyangtse and Lhasa. Surrounded by many snow-capped mountains, it is considered as one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. It provides magnificent view whenever you reach there.

Day 12: Depart Lhasa (Flight not included)
