Day 1: Arrive in Beijing
The pre-arranged guide would be awaiting with a welcoming sign featuring our logo at the airport before the plane touches down. There would be no itinerary arranged for the rest of the day, considering your need to soothe the fatigue from the long-haul flight.

Free-time Ideas: The hotel you're staying is situated on the Xidajie (West Boulevard), the same boulevard connecting to the Tiananmen Square, only a few minutes' walk from the Chongwenmen Subway Station on Line 5 & 2, and within reasonable distance of Dongdan, Beijing Railway Station, Temple of Heaven and the likes, feel free to explore if interested.

 

Day 2: Beijing
The first day of the trip would start with a visit to the very heart of the country's capital, Tiananmen Square, a magnificent square extending in front of the Forbidden City, which has been the power center for nearly six centuries and has witnessed 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties carried out their administration, followed by a pleasant lunch and a delightful afternoon in Summer Palace, the spectacular private garden for royal members only back in the imperial times.

Day 3: Beijing
This day's excursion begins with the Temple of Heaven, the sacred venue where the Ming/Qing Emperors performed major sacrificial and praying ceremonies for good fortune, prosperity and blessings. After that, embark on a 1.5 to 2-hour ride to the leg of Great Wall situated in Mutianyu, a not-so-overcrowded section of the Great Wall which extends over 2km but features cable car up and down the mountainous part. On the way back to the hotel, there will be a stop at the Bird's Nest stadium and Water Cube, and you'll have some time to take pictures.

Day 4: Beijing - Xian
After breakfast, featured on schedule is a Hutong Tour on rickshaw around the most original and characteristic neighborhood and a visit to a local family.  Afterwards, you would be taken to the railway station for the high speed rail train to Xian, which takes approximately 5 hours, and along the way you would have the chance to admire a different scenery of the countryside. Upon arriving at the Xian North Station, the professional tour guide would pick you up and escort you to the hotel.

Day 5: Xian
The highlight of the day is without doubt the most renowned feature of Xian and one of the most recognizable cultural symbols of China, which has been exhibited in dozens of different countries around the world ¨C the Terracotta Army, or better known as Bing Ma Yong in Chinese. As you may have heard, Terracotta Army is an army consists of thousands of soldiers, horses, chariots and loads of other items made of terracotta, under the demand of Qin Shi Huang, the first-ever emperor of China around the early 3rd century. More history, sagas and anecdotes behind this mysterious masterpiece would be presented by our guide on the tour. In the afternoon, the tour would be taken back to the downtown Xian, around the Xian City Wall, the 25.7km fortifications enclosing the city used to be the capital of China for 13 dynasties. The wall can be dated back to as early as the late 2nd century, but the existing wall was established in Ming Dynasty. Apart from it, also on the itinerary are the Great Mosque, the oldest Islamic mosque in the country, erected in 742AD, and the Muslim quarter built around it, which is rife with excellent historical buildings, favorable eateries, souvenir shops and the likes.

Day 6: Xian - Chongqing
This morning you'll explore Xian Museum & the Small Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area. It is an important cultural relic and one of the remaining symbols of ancient Chang'an (the name of Xian in the Tang Dynasty). Then, head for the airport and take the flight to Chongqing. Upon arrival in Chongqing, our guide will meet you at the airport and then visit Ciqikou Old Town if time permits. After that, embark the luxury cruise ship which will weigh anchor at 22:30. There is a necessary Safety, Orientation & River Briefing presentation for you.

Day 7: Yangtze River Cruise
Enjoy beautiful scenery along Yangtze River. Shore excursion to Shibaozhai. Lose yourself in the wonderful Chinese folk dance and music performance by the cruise staff at the exciting Captain's Welcome Party in the evening.

Scenic Spots: The Shibaozhai looks like a strangely-shaped pagoda hugging a hill. It is about 200 meters or 700 feet tall. People were hauled up to the temple until the stairway and the floors below were built. In the past, there were tourist stalls between the dock and the Shibaozhai. Now, it is one of the highlights along the Yangtze and the Three Gorges Lake.

Day 8: Yangtze River Cruise
Sailing along Yangtze River offers you the charming sights of the spectacular Qutang Gorge and the pretty Wu Gorge. The knowledgeable river guide will let you get more idea of Three Gorges including the ancient plank road, mengliang stairway and hanging coffins. Land at Badong and enjoy the natural beauty along the crystal Shengnong Stream by taking a small wooden boat. Return to the ship and continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge. Tonight Farewell Party invites you to join in the excellent performance by the cruise staffs.

Day 9: Yichang - Shanghai
Visit the great project of Three Gorges Dam after breakfast. Then back to the ship and prepare well for check-out. The ship will arrive in Yichang and our guide will meet you on board. After lunch at a notable restaurant, transfer you to the airport and fly to Shanghai. Upon arrival in Shanghai, you will be picked up and transferred to the hotel.

Day 10: Shanghai
With an experienced guide meeting you at the hotel, this day's destinations include Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, a museum stresses on urban planning, architecture, modern history of the metropolis, with seasonal art exhibitions and others. After that, feel free to have a captivating walk around the Bund and Nanjing Road, the upscale and busiest shopping hub of Shanghai, before proceeding to the Yuyuan Garden, a former privately-owned garden of traditional southern China architectural style, comprises of pavilions, ponds, bridges, rockeries trees and the likes. Afterwards, please take some time to roam about the nearby Yuyuan Market and Xintiandi (New Spot), the most traditional street market with hundreds of stalls peddling all kinds of trinkets and the up-and-coming high-end neighborhood featuring series of bars, caf¨¦s, restaurants, spa centers, clubs, galleries, boutiques and so forth. The day would be summed up by a 45-minute cruise ride down the Huangpu River, passing by the wonderful night view of legions of skyscrapers along the river banks.

Day 11: Shanghai - Hanoi
Our guide will pick you up at the hotel according to your flight schedule and transfer you to the airport to take the flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, our tour guide greets you at the airport and escorts you to hotel for check-in. Have some leisure time on your own.

Day 12: Hanoi
Today explore the charming city of Hanoi from the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Monday & Friday), Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda, and the Quan Thanh Temple.

Afternoon is a visit to the interesting Museum of Ethnology containing many life-size structures dedicated to Vietnam's 54 ethnic minority peoples, followed by a rickshaw ride along narrow streets of the Old Quarter. Last stop is the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake to enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Show.

Day 13: Hanoi - Halong Bay
Upon arrival in Hanoi, take a short rest in hotel and set out for a rich Halong Bay cruise. After a 3-hr scenic drive to the pier, check into your private cabin and start the cruise. Besides admiring the stunning scenery and taking a short excursion to Surprise Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay, you will also enjoy optional activities such as kayaking, swimming, cooking class, etc. Spend a romantic night on board at Halong Bay.

Day 14: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City
Today get up earlier to learn ancient art of Tai Chi on the sundeck. Later enjoy a big brunch before check out at late morning. Then drive back to Hanoi airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, our guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel.

Day 15: Ho Chi Minh City
Today you will start a tour of Ho Chi Minh City form the Thien Hau Temple (a Chinese temple) and the lively Binh Tay Market. After lunch, you will visit the War Remnants Museum and the former Presidential Palace. From there, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall are all within walking distance and perfect for a nice stroll.

Day 16: Ho Chi Minh City
This morning set out for the incredible Cu Chi Tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the Vietnam War, and the ornate temple of Cao Dai where you can attend the fantastic mid-day service together with followers. The rest of the day is yours to relax.

Day 17: Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho - Ho Chi Minh City
Morning depart for My Tho to embark on a boat navigating around the small canals in the Mekong Delta region. Get close to daily activities of local people at My Tho Fruit Market. Taste many seasonal fruits and enjoy traditional music played by islanders on the Unicorn Island. After lunch stop by some coconut candy workshops to see how coconut candy is produced. Then return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 18: Ho Chi Minh City - Bangkok
After breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for Bangkok. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to the hotel we will book for you. The rest of the day will be your leisure time if time permits.

Day 19: Bangkok
Breakfast at hotel, you will first visit Wat Traimit, Wat Arun, and then visit the Wat Pho, lies the largest Reclining Buddha.

After lunch, transfer to Grand Palace, the most famous scenic spot in Bangkok and it adjoins Wat Phra Kaew, the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand. After this place, back to hotel at leisure.

Day 20: Bangkok - Chiang Mai
Fly to Chiang mai. Upon arrival at airport, meet and greet then transfer to the hotel. After a short rest, first experience Meo Hill Tribe Village culture in a hillside spot. Then transfer to visit Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep which is one of the most sacred temples in Chiang Mai. Later, return back to the hotel and you are free at leisure.

Day 21: Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai
Today after breakfast, we will head out to Chiang Rai. En route, visit the hot spring for relaxation. Continue to the Golden Triangle in Chiang Sean, where the three borders of Myanmar-Laos-Thailand meet. Lunch finished and transfer to Mae Sai Border (migration fee THB 500 on your own for one day crossing to Myanmar). Last, visit villages dwelling the indigenous Akha and Yao hill tribes on our way back to Chiang Mai.

Day 22: Chiang MaiWe begin with a morning visit to the Maesa Elephant Camp, which gives you a joyous close-up with these talented animals - watch them perform little ¡®tricks', have an exciting elephant ride along the trails, followed by an ox-cart ride back to the camp. In the afternoon, enjoy a brilliant white-water rafting along Mae Taeng River. Return to Chiang Mai and a stop will be at Orchid Nursery to learn how the locals grow orchids. Transfer back to your hotel and get relaxed.

Day 23: Depart from Chiang Mai
You will have free time till your guide escorts you to airport for your homeward flight.
