Day 1:Beijing
The pre-arranged guide would be awaiting with a welcoming sign featuring our logo at the airport before the plane touches down. There would be no itinerary arranged for the rest of the day, considering your need to soothe the fatigue from the long-haul flight.


Day 2:Beijing
The first day of the trip would start with a visit to the very heart of the country's capital, Tiananmen Square, a magnificent square extending in front of the Forbidden City, which has been the power center for nearly six centuries and has witnessed 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties carried out their administration, followed by a pleasant lunch and a delightful afternoon in Summer Palace, the spectacular private garden for royal members only back in the imperial times.


Day 3:Beijing
This day's excursion begins with the Temple of Heaven, the sacred venue where the Ming/Qing Emperors performed major sacrificial and praying ceremonies for good fortune, prosperity and blessings. After that, embark on a 1.5 to 2-hour ride to the leg of Great Wall situated in Mutianyu, a not-so-overcrowded section of the Great Wall which extends over 2km but features cable car up and down the mountainous part. When the day draws to the end, a little detour would be taken on the way back, to the Bird's Nest stadium and Water Cube, the two ahead-of-the-time structures famed for not only holding most games during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, but also for their world-recognized, innovating appearances.


Day 4:Beijing - Lhasa
You will be given a ride to board the flight to Lhasa. After reaching your hotel in Lhasa, the rest of today is left for you to adapt to the high altitude. You have to avoid excessive physical activity in order to prevent altitude sickness. Dinner is served at hotel.


Day 5:Lhasa
The highlight of today's sightseeing may be the visit of the landmark of Lhasa - Potala Palace. Originally built in the 7th century, Potala Palace which is not only one of the palaces of Tibetan religious leader but also a sacred land of Buddhism is 3,700 meters above the sea level. Featured architectures and cultural relics can be seen here. Followed by the view of Jokhang Temple. With more than 1300 years history, Jokhang Temple has the supreme status in Tibetan Buddhism. Later, you can enjoy the Bhakhor Street and Lhasa Nunnery. In the shape of polygon, Bhakhor Street is the most prosperous commercial street in Lhasa. It has been built around Jokhang Temple. Lhasa Nunnery is the paradise of the female Buddhism believers.


Day 6:Lhasa
You will be guided to Summer Resort of Lama ¨C Norbulingka. At an area of 360,000 square meters, not only can the common plants in the Lhasa district be seen in the Norbulingka, but also the exotic flowers and rare herbs from the Himalaya Mountains and the precious plants from home and abroad, which makes it the highland botanic garden. Transferring to Tibet Museum, you can appreciate the splendid history of Tibet, its abundant natural resources, prehistoric cultural relics, etc. After lunch, the visit of Sera Monastery would take you to experience the atmosphere of Lamas scripture debate.


Day 7:Lhasa - Xian
Ride to the railway station to take an overnight soft sleeper train to Xian in the morning. Enjoy the beautiful scenery on board.

Note: The duration from Lhasa to Xian by train is 33 hours 25 minutes. Please manage the meals on your own.


Day 8:Xian
On board during the day, and meet our guide at the train station around 22:00 at night. Then transfer to the hotel. Full board is on your side.


Day 9: Xian
The highlight of the day is without doubt the most renowned feature of Xian and one of the most recognizable cultural symbols of China, which has been exhibited in dozens of different countries around the world ¨C the Terracotta Army, or better known as Bing Ma Yong in Chinese. As you may have heard, Terracotta Army is an army consists of thousands of soldiers, horses, chariots and loads of other items made of terracotta, under the demand of Qin Shi Huang, the first-ever emperor of China around the early 3rd century. More history, sagas and anecdotes behind this mysterious masterpiece would be presented by our guide on the tour. In the afternoon, the tour would be taken back to the downtown Xian, around the Xian City Wall, the 25.7km fortifications enclosing the city used to be the capital of China for 13 dynasties. The wall can be dated back to as early as the late 2nd century, but the existing wall was established in Ming Dynasty. Apart from it, also on the itinerary are the Great Mosque, the oldest Islamic mosque in the country, erected in 742AD, and the Muslim quarter built around it, which is rife with excellent historical buildings, favorable eateries, souvenir shops and the likes.


Day 10:Xian - Shanghai
This day's tour is still surrounded on the historical side of Xian, featuring the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, a 43.4m (142ft) tall, 13-storey pagoda established during the Tang Dynasty, and the Xian Museum, showcasing nearly 15,000 pieces of items, right at the foot of it. After a special A La Carte lunch in a stylish local restaurant, transfer to the airport to take your flight to Shanghai.


Day 11:Shanghai
With an experienced guide meeting you at the hotel, this day's destinations include Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, a museum stresses on urban planning, architecture, modern history of the metropolis, with seasonal art exhibitions and others. After that, feel free to have a captivating walk around the Bund and Nanjing Road, the upscale and busiest shopping hub of Shanghai, before proceeding to the Yuyuan Garden, a former privately-owned garden of traditional southern China architectural style, comprises of pavilions, ponds, bridges, rockeries trees and the likes. Afterwards, please take some time to roam about the nearby Yuyuan Market and Xintiandi (New Spot), the most traditional street market with hundreds of stalls peddling all kinds of trinkets and the up-and-coming high-end neighborhood featuring series of bars, caf¨¦s, restaurants, spa centers, clubs, galleries, boutiques and so forth. The day would be summed up by a 45-minute cruise ride down the Huangpu River, passing by the wonderful night view of legions of skyscrapers along the river banks.


Day 12:Depart from Shanghai
Ride to the airport to take your home flight. Your impressive China tour ends.
