Day 1:Shanghai
The tour guide would be awaiting with a welcoming sign featuring our logo at the airport before the plane touches down. There would be no itinerary arranged for the rest of the day, considering your need to soothe the fatigue from the long-haul flight.


Day 2:Shanghai
With an experienced guide meeting you at the hotel, this day's destinations include Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, a museum stresses on urban planning, architecture, modern history of the metropolis, with seasonal art exhibitions and others. After that, feel free to have a delightful walk around the Bund and Nanjing Road, the upscale and busiest shopping hub of Shanghai, before proceeding to the Yuyuan Garden, a former privately-owned garden of traditional southern China architectural style, comprises of pavilions, ponds, bridges, rockeries trees and the likes. Afterwards, please take some time to roam about the nearby Yuyuan Market and Xintiandi (New Spot), the most traditional street market with hundreds of stalls peddling all kinds of trinkets and the up-and-coming high end neighborhood featuring series of bars, caf¨¦s, restaurants, spa centers, clubs, galleries, boutiques and so forth. The day would be summed up by a 45-minute cruise ride down the Huangpu River, passing by the wonderful night view of legions of skyscrapers along the river banks.

Day 3:Shanghai - Yichang
Today you would be picked up and taken to Yichang by air, but the time before the flight is subjected to your own arrangement. Upon arrival, our tour guide would greet you at the airport and take you to the Miniascape Garden of Binjiang Park, a park extending 13,500m2 by the bank of Yangtze River, with hundreds pieces of Miniascape and bonsai on display. In addition, you would have a glimpse upon the local seniors' daily pastimes, like singing, playing urheen, exercising, taking a walk and so on. Alternatively, you can also be taken to the outskirt around town to enjoy the countryside view. Before the end of the day, instead of resting at a hotel, you would embark on a cruise ship and stay overnight.

Day 4:Yangtze River Cruise
The ship weighs anchor at 8am. Sail through Xiling Gorge, which is the longest gorge along the Yangtze River. In the middle of the voyage, disembark and take a shuttle bus to the gigantic Three Gorges Dam, the most spectacular hydraulic project in modern China. Return to the vessel and Chinese folk dance and music show would be staged onboard at night as the captain's gesture of a warm welcome.

Day 5:Yangtze River Cruise
Today the cruise ship would be passing through the upstream part of the world-renowned, imposing Three Gorges, meaning the Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. On the way, stories, folk tales and anecdotes surrounding the ancient plank road, Mengliang Stairway, hanging coffins and so forth would be told by the knowledgeable local guide. A little wooden-boat ride is planned among the trip to the fabulous Shennong Stream for the unrivalled natural scenery there. Return to the ship and continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge.

Day 6:Yangtze River Cruise
Take a shore excursion to Fengdu, a small yet historical town with no less than 2,000 years of history and legions of interesting statues and architectures. Return to the ship and continue to pass through the mountains of Eastern Sichuan. A farewell party featuring enjoyable performances and entertainments would be hold onboard at the night.

Day 7:Chongqing - Chengdu
Disembark at Chongqing. Our tour guide will meet you at the pier and take you to visit the Ciqikou Old Town, a small town with more than a millennium's history and prides itself for the top-class porcelain-making craftsmanship. After lunch, you will be transferred to the train station and take a bullet train to Chengdu.

Day 8:Chengdu
After breakfast, you are scheduled to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, the biggest Buddha statue around the world, measuring at 71m (233ft), located nearly 170km from downtown Chengdu. Since the Buddha is sitting right in front of the Min River, you are scheduled to approach the Giant Buddha by boat, which allows the best view from beneath. But even better is to go up the mountain and walk down the stairs starting from the back of his head all the way down to the toe and take in all the beauty along the way. After that you would be driven back to downtown Chengdu. In the afternoon, take some time to relax in Wangjianglou Park, an over 78,000m2 park on the southeast corner of the city, where local people play mahjong, dance, play diabolo, exercise and so on. Also you can join the locals to drink tea (at your own expense) in one of the numerous tea houses, for it is the most favorable and characteristic pastime of theirs. The rest of the day would be spent in Kuanzhai Lane, a block of historical architectures dating back to Qing dynasty but has been transformed into the most fashionable neighborhood featuring numerous trendy tea houses, restaurants, museums, caf¨¦, bars, shops and the likes.

Day 9:Chengdu - Xian
Featured on today's schedule is the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, the biggest research and breeding center for giant pandas in China. The facility is practically a 2.3km2 park, home to dozens of giant pandas and series of other animals. After hanging around with the ¡°national treasure¡±, you would be taken to the airport for your flight to the next destination, Xian.

Day 10:Xian
The highlight of the day is without doubt the most renowned feature of Xian and one of the most recognizable cultural symbols of China, which has been exhibited in dozens of different countries around the world ¨C the Terracotta Army, or better known as Bing Ma Yong in Chinese. As you may have heard, Terracotta Army is an army consists of thousands of soldiers, horses, chariots and loads of other items made of terracotta, under the demand of Qin Shi Huang, the first-ever emperor of China around the early 3rd century. More history, sagas and anecdotes behind this mysterious masterpiece would be presented by our guide on the tour. In the afternoon, the tour would be taken back to the downtown Xian, around the Xian City Wall, the 25.7km fortifications enclosing the city used to be the capital of China for 13 dynasties. The wall can be dated back to as early as the late 2nd century, but the existing wall was established in Ming Dynasty. Apart from it, also on the itinerary are the Great Mosque, the oldest Islamic mosque in the country, erected in 742AD, and the Muslim quarter built around it, which is rife with excellent historical buildings, favorable eateries, souvenir shops and the likes.

Day 11:Xian - Beijing
This day's tour is still surrounded on the historical side of Xian, featuring the Shaanxi History Museum, the largest museum in Shaanxi Province housing a collection of more than 370,000 pieces artifacts displaying the past of Shaanxi, spanning over 1million years. The next stop would be the Small Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area, a 43.4m (142ft) tall, 13-storey pagoda established during the Tang Dynasty. After a special A La Carte lunch in a stylish local restaurant, you would be taken to the railway station for the high speed rail train to Beijing, which takes approximately 5 hours, and along the way you would have the chance to admire a different scenery of the countryside. Upon arriving at the Beijing West Railway Station, the professional tour guide would pick you up and escort you to the hotel.

Day 12:Beijing
This day start with a visit to the very heart of the country's capital, Tiananmen Square, a magnificent square extending in front of the Forbidden City, which has been the power center for nearly six centuries and has witnessed 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties carried out their administration, followed by a pleasant A La Carte lunch and a delightful afternoon in Summer Palace, the spectacular private garden for royal members only back in the imperial times.

Day 13:Beijing
This day's excursion begins with the Temple of Heaven, the sacred venue where the Ming/Qing Emperors performed major sacrificial and praying ceremonies for good fortune, prosperity and blessings. After that, embark on a 1.5 to 2-hour ride to the leg of Great Wall situated in Mutianyu, a not-so-overcrowded section of the Great Wall which extends over 2km but features cable car up and down the mountainous part. When the day draws to the end, a little detour would be taken on the way back, to the Bird's Nest stadium and Water Cube, the two ahead-of-the-time structures famed for not only holding most games during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, but also for their world-recognized, innovating appearances.
