Welcome to Shangri-La (Zhongdian), the Garden of Eden! Clear the customs and retrieve your baggage by yourself upon arrival, be greeted by our tour guide in the Arrival Hall who is holding a sign on which says your name. A comfortable vehicle (non-smoking) with an experienced driver will transfer you directly to your hotel. Your guide will help you check in. The rest of the day is on your own to discover this charming city.

Day 2 Shangri-La (B, L)
In the morning, your guide will pick you up at hotel. Today, you'll have a full day sightseeing in Garden Sumtseling Monastery, Nixi Pottery Village, Dukezong Old Town and Guishan (Tortoise Hill) Park.

Garden Sumtseling Monastery: also called Songzanlin Monastery. Built in 1679, the monastery is not only the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan, but also the most important monastery in southwest China. Sometimes it is referred to as the Little Potala Palace.

Nixi Pottery Village: the most ¡°Shangri-La¡± part of Shangri-La. Nixi Village is well known for the century-old art, making pottery. Around 70 out of the 100 families in the village are engaged in this traditional art. Visit a Tibetan Family and watch how they make pottery at home.

Dukezong Old Town: with 1300-year-old history, it is the largest and best-preserved Tibetan city among China's 147 Tibetan counties. It is also site of the largest ancient Tibetan community. Guishan (Tortoise Hill) Park is behind the old town where you'll witness the largest prayer wheel in the world.

Day 3 Shangri-La (B, L)
After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at hotel. You'll visit the tranquil Bita Lake and Shudu Lake in Pudacuo National Park. Later, pay a visit to a local Tibetan family and experience the highly-praised hospitality of Tibetan people.

Pudacuo National Park: it is the first national park in China, mainly comprised of Shudu Lake and Bitahai Lake. Shudu Lake is a famous pasture, herds of yak and goat grazing beside the lake the shepherd's shelters dots on the grassland. Bitahai Lake, regarded as a pearl of the Plateau, is an intact natural attraction with outstanding landscapes. In May every year an azalea forest on the lakeshore is in full blossom, stretching several kilometers. Staying beside the lake, you can deeply feel the quiet and leisurely life of high-land people.
