Day 1 Nanjing Arrival
Welcome to Nanjing, the capital of the Six Dynasties! Clear the customs and retrieve your baggage by yourself upon arrival, be greeted by our tour guide in the Arrival Hall who is holding a sign on which says your name. A comfortable vehicle (non-smoking) with an experienced driver will transfer you directly to your hotel. Your guide will help you check in. The rest of the day is on your own to discover this ancient city.


Day 2 Nanjing (B, L)
Your first stop today is Dr. Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum. Located at the foot of the majestic Purple Mountain, it is the tomb of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the Father of Modern China. Some 392 steps lead to the very entrance in this mausoleum and it is a definite must-see place when you are visiting Nanjing.

Later, you'll have a great look at Zhonghua Gate which is the biggest castle-style city in China and the most complicated castle in the world. Built from 1366 to 1387, Zhonghua Gate boasts great skill, delicate structure and magnificent scale.

Then, head to Confucius Temple. Built in Song Dynasty, the year of 1034, Nanjing Confucius Temple has a history of about 1000 years. The whole temple covers a huge area, mainly consisting of Confucius Temple, Studying Hall and Gongyuan. 

The last scenic spot today is the Qinhuai River to explore the local lifestyle. This river remembers the long history of the town and it is inseparable part of all that is happening in Nanjing. Its bank was very popular during the Qing and Ming Dynasties due to the red lantern alley that was placed there.


Day 3 Nanjing - Suzhou (B, L)
After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. Today, you'll going to visit Presidential Palace. During the 1009 years and from 1840 to 1949, it was the backbone of Chinese military and politics. Now it is a historic site with great importance in modern history of China, also becoming the biggest modern history museums in China.

Later, followed a trip to Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge which is the first double-decker bridge designed for road traffic as well as trains. In 1960s, the bridge was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for ¡°the longest bridge with dual functions of Highway and railway¡±.

After the tour, transfer to the train station to take the high-speed train to Suzhou (1 hour 12 min). Free for the rest of the day. Stay overnight in Suzhou.


Day 4 Suzhou - Hangzhou (B, L)
On this day, you'll start to experience the exquisite garden - Humble Administrator's Garden. It is not only the Suzhou's largest garden, but also one of the top four gardens in China. Originally built in 1509 by a retired magistrate Wang Xianchen, now it ranks the best representative of Chinese classical gardens with Ming Dynasty style.

Close to Humble Administrator's Garden is the old town of Suzhou - Pingjiang Road. There are lovely sights, cafes, little shops, bars and the feeling that you have stepped back in time. Take a punt-style boat is a relaxing way to explore this canal-side old town.

Followed a leisurely boat trip along Grand Canal. It is the best way to see the authentic local life and truly get a good idea what is going on in the old town of Suzhou. You cruise will stop at Panmen Scenic Area to appreciate the ¡°three fine sceneries¡± - Panmen Gate, Wu Men Bridge and Ruiguang Pagoda.

You last stop of today will go to Suzhou No.1 Silk Factory where you could not only see how the silk is processed from worm to the final product, but also learn some history and culture of silk in China.

After the tour, escort to the railway station to take the high-speed train to Hangzhou (1 hour 40 min). Stay overnight in Hangzhou.


Day 5 Hangzhou (B, L)
On this day, you'll explore three must-see Hangzhou attractions: Lingyin Temple (including Feilai Peak), West Lake and Dragon Well Tea Plantation.

Your first stop is Lingyin Temple. Founded in AD 326, Lingyin Temple (Temple of Soul's Retreat) is one of the most significant and beautiful Buddhist monasteries in China. The famous Feilai Feng is known for the dozens of Buddhist sculptures carved into the rock, many dating from the 10th century.

Later, you'll enjoy the leisure cruising time on West Lake. Long considered one of the scenic wonders of China, West Lake, a place of tranquility, is surrounded by hills on three sides while Hangzhou City itself is on the eastern shore.

Finally, drive to Dragon Well Tea Plantation where produces one of the China's most famous varieties of green tea. You could wander around the tea terraces, catch glimpses of the different stages of production - cutting, sorting, and drying - and also buy the tea.


Day 6 Hangzhou - Shanghai (B, L)
After Breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. Firstly, drive to Six Harmonies Pagoda to see the masterpieces of ancient Chinese architecture. Climbing onto the top, you could have a spectacular view of Qiantang River and surrounding hills.

The following destination is the state-level Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is more than simply a museum. You'll know some history and development of traditional Chinese medicines, appreciate the traditional architecture and design, and buy the traditional medicine in this functioning pharmacy¡­

After the tour, escort to the railway station to take the high-speed train to Shanghai (1 hour). Stay overnight in Shanghai.


Day 7 Shanghai (B, L)
On this day, our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. Today, you first stop is to visit the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, a must-see for all true Shanghainophiles to witness how Shanghai became a cosmopolitan city from a shabby fishing village.

Continued is a tour to the beautiful 400-year-old Yuyuan Garden, a pleasant enough, well-contained classical Chinese garden, and savor some local flavor snacks at the Yuyuan Bazaar. Then ascend the Jinmao Tower to get an amazing bird's eye view of this metropolis.

Followed a trip to a silk factory to see how silk is produced from the cocoons of silk worms, and turned into the beautiful fabric we all know and love.

Evening ideas: To maximize your enjoyment of Shanghai, in the evening, you can watch an awesome Acrobatic Show. (Optional)


Day 8 Shanghai Departure (B)
After breakfast, you'll head to the famous Bund to witness Shanghai's skyline, and stroll along China's No.1 shopping street - Nanjing Road. Then continue to Jade Buddha Temple to admire the largest jade Buddha in the world and exquisite religious artifacts.

Be free until you'll be escorted to the airport/train station/cruise port for your flight/train or cruise to your next destination. Service ends.
