The Siguniang Mountains are located in Wenchuan County and Aba Xiaojin County in Sichuan Province, 235KM from Chengdu. The highest mountain is known as the 4th peak, very technical and standing at 6250 meters it dominates the sky line on a clear day. Very few people attempt to climb this and very few of them succeed!DaFeng(5025m) is normally considered a pure trekking peak whilst ErFeng (5276m) is more challenging as it involves basic climbing technique. It may be a walk up for the more experienced mountaineers, but for most of us it will be a challenge worth overcoming.

The first day of hiking(8 hrs) will be an easy day, almost flat way. We will pass some impressive peaks (many unclimbed and some even unnamed) and will be camping in pretty remote conditions. The farther we hike up the mountain, the wilder landscape becomes.  As we near the second day's camp, the stupendous rock walls of Siguniang will gradually emerge. Our base camp is situated on an open flat ground with several streams running through it. From here, you can see the summit of 2nd peak directly north from the base camp. If weather permits, we can even see the whole view of Siguniang area.
